Foster Refrigerator Scoop Top Eco Award For Sustainable Catering Equipment

Foster Refrigerator is once again celebrating scooping a major industry award for environmental advances, and is crowned Sustainable Catering Equipment Manufacturer of the year 2013.
Foster was presented with the prestigious Footprint Award at a ceremony in London, on May 23rd, recognised for its continued successes in sustainable manufacturing, and specifically the launch of the multi-award winning Eco Pro G2 product range.The 2013 Footprint Awards was set up to recognise and reward British organisations who have excelled in sustainable thinking and execution in commercial activities.
Foster was voted Sustainable Catering Equipment Manufacturer of the year, sponsored by CH&Co, in an award category designed to recognise the challenges the foodservice industry faces in reducing carbon consumption, especially in terms of designing equipment which helps to preserve energy and resources.
Judges chose Foster and the Eco Pro G2 range as winners ahead of stiff competition within the sector, and were looking for innovation in design, materials, lifecycle, proof of efficiency and an operational track record.
Andrew Galeckyj, from Foster, who received the award on behalf of the Norfolk based manufacturer, said: “We are thrilled to have won this award – it is a great honour to be recognised for making a contribution to more environmental production, as this is a value Foster sees as integral to every aspect of our business”.
